Okay!

It really does not matter where they were raised, once they reach Washington DC, the Political Machine takes over and the President really has his hands binded. I do hope like H*** that we get a President in office this year that cares more about the American People instead of his own Selfish Motives. We have had alot of Presidents, BTW that were not raised “Below” the Mason Dixon Line and did a Horrible Job also.

what’s wrong with being below the Mason-Dixon line? just because they might have a thick accent doesn’t mean they’re not qualified as president of the united states.
i am above it, but some of my family was born and raised below the line. i have a southern twinge on my speech and i’m not afraid to hide it.
anyway, yankees are usually liberal.

I often agree with you, but not on this one… It’s just plain ignorant to think that the whole south is as stupid as Bush and also quite sad if a person is grown and can’t understand different accents and dialects.

carter, bill, hillary ???? terrible choices.

Thanks for generalizing the entire south.
Sadly, You are mistaken if you think that southerners are stupid, or talk funny simply because you can’t understand them.
So much for being open-minded and respectful towards others.

I think it is time for someone from above that line. Bush is a failure and living in this area (originally from the north) I can tell you there is a mindset here that is like nothing else i can relate to and it can be bizarre. There are a lot of folk here still fighting the civil war in their minds down here. Not most of them but enough. There is an arrrogance which is not justified that pervades this region.
The north has it’s quirks too for sure, but let’s try someone from that region for a change.

You mean no more Bill Clintons?
Thomas Jeffersons?
Woodrow Wilsons?
Harry S Trumans?
Dwight D Eisenhowers?

Don’t have the slightest clue as to what or who you are referring to . Please clarify and I’ll edit my answer . Thank you.
My answer is I disagree with you and your post ranks up there with some of the most biased and hateful I’ve ever seen .
