there’s a green stem (weed) maybe with a tiny white flowers on top. You can chew it and it’s sweet and juicy. What’s the name?

I’m from N Carolina and I remember chewing on this as a kid.I think what we call it is sour weed.The proper name is sheep sorrel again I think.
Going to have to do a little asking around.

Stevia. You can pick the leaves and mince them up and use them for a sweetener in things like Iced Tea.
