For all those that believe FDR a socialist, think again. When FDR took office in ‘32, the price of a bushel of wheat cost less than a pack of gum, 1/2 of real property was foreclosed and sold IN ONE DAY in Arkansas, an estimated 32% of home owners faced forclosure, there was a MAJOR run on the biggest banks across America threatening the solvency of 28-30% of cash assets in America, 1 % of farms below the Mason Dixon line had no electricity, nearly 35% of American were out of work, and on, and on, and on.
Surprisingly, FDR in fact was not an idealogue, he took swift and sweeping actions to prevent America from going down the economic tubes, as a result of 3 previous years of total inaction and denial by the previous administration that occupied the White House.

Asking because i keep hearing that most Americans of the South are of Scottish and Scotch-Irish descent yet when you look at the ancestry figures for the Southern states English Americans greatly outnumber those who put Scottish, Scotch-Irish or American as their ancestry.

I’m into the whole “country” thing. When I graduate high school (only a freshman) I plan on going down to a place where I wont get made fun of for listening to country music. I just don’t know where that place is…So what state would that be ?

I’m from NY and moved to Alabama and noticed that a lot of these people have a down syndrome look to them. Yeah, it’s not only the way they talk that makes them look slow but also how they look. It’s very weird. I cannot wait until I get out of this place.
