I visited Marietta, Dahlonega and Atlanta in December 2003 and loved it. But I didn’t spend enough time to look at houses, schools, shopping etc. And have not experienced the heat there. I’m aware of hurricanes and tornadoes. We are looking for a slower pace, better quality of life, good schools (grade, junior and high schools), friendly people and all the sweet tea I can drink! If anyone has spent enough time there to really help answer my questions, I’d appreciate it.
