I know what the flag used to stand for in the time of the Civil War, but it seems it has somewhat of a different meaning now since I can’t see anyone supporting slavery now. I’m not trying to offend anyone, I just want to know what the flag means to those who wear it.–Thanks

My daughter had this come up today, and she said “there was a little thing like the Civil War” where we separated from Virginia and became a new state. Then she explained, “there was also something called, “The Mason/Dixon Line.
Do students not study geography much anymore? I get tired of saying, West “By God” Virginia.
