There are two main political divisions of land in the US. One is the Mason-Dixon Line. What is the other? I assume I’m putting this in the right category.

A political party is nothing more than its constituency which, in the case of the current Republican party, is little more than Utah, Idaho and the SOUTH. They’ve been the least ethical and least astute region at every other time in history; why would you follow them now?

Fact: There are more foreign immigrants and Northern transplants in Florida than Southerners, by a WIDE margin. So I’ve never been able to understand why the Southern conservative Republican faction in our state is able to exert such undue influence on our politics, especially on social issues. 50 years ago before “one man one vote”, it was because they prevented appropriate apportionment of seats to South Florida. But today, I have no clue how they do it. Anybody from Florida or familiar with the state’s politics know?

I’m a bit sick of being associated with the republicans who live in big cities or the suburbs, are sophisticated, drive their big fancy SUV’s and would choose soccer over football anyday. We rednecks need our own party!
