So I’ve never been able to understand why the Southern conservative Republican faction in our state is able to exert such undue influence on our politics, especially on social issues. 50 years ago before “one man one vote”, it was because they prevented appropriate apportionment of seats to South Florida. But today, I have no clue how they do it. Anybody from Florida or familiar with the state’s politics know?
