The last time the South was completely irrelevent in presidential elections was back in 1964, when you guys decided to support Republican Barry Goldwater, over liberal Democrat LBJ. We still won.
And that was because of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
Every other election since that was decided in large part by southerners voting Republican or enough southerns voting for southern Democrats Carter and Clinton to make a difference.
