OMG it sux. Prison is preferable. The only thing they put their beer down for is to hit their women [the sister they married] and kids (they can hold it while they molest the kids). When they mow the lawn outside the trailer you see every hooptie they ever owned
Rednecks (like lots of other types of people) can’t just be narrowed down by a few generic stereotypes. I grew up in a very small farming community on a farm and was in ffa and 4-h. Some of the people in my area who would be considered redneck are just good ole boys who are a little cautious about different cultures and just enjoy simple lives. Some are great people some are not. Tobacco and pbr do happen to be a common denominator for many but not all.
They are funny. I’ve lived around rednecks all of my life…I’m not one. They usually chew tobacco and talk hilariously. They’re really goofy too. The accent is horrible. I have a Texas accent, but you can hardly understand these people. Generally, they are nice, but they drink a lot of beer and lack proper social skills. They also tend to belch and pass gas in public…oh, they love to chew on toothpicks when they don’t have a mouth full of tobacco.
You are in the wrong section…. But since i came from a small town full of red necks i will try to answer your question.
First i don’t know if you can Buy or find Jeff Foxworthy’s Tapes were you are at, But that is a good place to start. What he says and the jokes he makes are soooo true. I know ppl that went to cut there grass and found cars and washer and dryers in there back yard. Mostly We are down to earth good people. A few smoke weed and they sound stupid when they talk but other than they are good people. And you have to be careful because the whole family tree thing really does come around and connect. I moved to a big city and really the people are not much different. except they no how to put a sentence together. lol You know the whole (small town values) saying is true. They got your back if need be!
i have known some, and you must be very patient. if you are not used to loud , vulgar people, BUT they are good hearted and fun and surprisingly open to almost anything. i’m gay and they accepted me right away , don’t know why , lol maybe they thought i was funny or something. they love to drink and are not afriad to speak their mind.
Hard working, good hearted, gentle people for the most part. Some are just stupid closed minded people but no more than in other walks of life. I grew up in the country and consider myself a redneck!
The term redneck is disrespectful , made up by wealthier whites to describe poor whites . They are just other people , and can be perfectly nice , most of the time .
ugh we have some around here.
they’re gross and annoying.
